Starting the weekend of Friday 13th, drivers headed to Imola to lay down their fastest times against the real-life drivers doing the same in the European Le Mans Series.
Comparable to within a few seconds, team members from Unity Elite Racing and SDL Logitech G took home the champagne with blistering laps in the 1:32 region.
Over in the PC Division however, the superstition of Friday 13th loomed over drivers as the majority of the top sixty drivers succumbed to temptation of either using the runoff areas that had been designated as off-track or barrelling over the chicanes with more than two wheels over the white lines.
With just nine drivers managing to adhere to the rules, this was an unprecedented result leading to podium placers Mangator, Masa, and FinPro taking home some well-deserved points from clean and fluid lines.
"Before each round we reiterate in the Driver's Briefing about the designated track limits and identify problematic areas that will be closely scrutineered. To see so many drivers from well-established teams failing to heed this advice and guidance is concerning.
