Round 4 of the Project CARS Esports NVIDIA Challenger Series brought us back home to the UK, to Cheshire’s picturesque Oulton Park circuit. Our virtual race at this awesome track ran during the same weekend that the stars of the British Touring Car Championship took on the course in real-life. However, we chose an altogether more extreme machine for the Project CARS action. Drivers were tasked with taming the mighty Ruf CTR3 SMS-R, a one-of-a-kind supercar developed by Slightly Mad Studios in partnership with Ruf. This ridiculous machine puts out 750 horsepower, and combined that raw energy with superb engineering and aerodynamic precision. The track itself is legendary amongst every driver that has ever raced in the UK. Oulton Park is loved for its dramatic elevation changes and super fast sweeping corners - demanding precision and balls from the drivers. Corners like Cascades and Druids will reward brave driving and the whole track rewards maximum attack, whatever the car. Continue reading to discover which of our drivers confronted this demanding combination and came out on top. CONSOLE DIVISION
