For the Re-Run of NVIDIA Challenger Series Round 6 in the Console Division, we returned to the UK, the home of Slightly Mad Studios, for a final showdown around the hills of Donington Park. We also returned to the GT3 class, the most popular group of vehicles in Project CARS, and one that all of our drivers are extremely familiar with. This resulted in an incredibly close fight with the top 20 drivers separated by well under 2 seconds. This was the final round of the NVIDIA Series for our Console Division competitors. Read on to discover who has finished the season with a €5000 prize! ![]() Coming into this final round of the NCS Console season, Team Shark Racing had an unassailable lead at the top of the championship, but it was a quiet end to the season for the team, as only Zoky scored points in this round. It was still a great year for Team Shark Racing which sees it take home the €5000 prize for winning the Division, after its drivers shared 7 wins and 11 podium finishes between them in 2016. In the drivers championship, Team Shark's Yinato was victorious after a long fight with the SDL drivers and even his own teammates, as he took the championship win after finishing 63 points ahead of teammate, Atho. Yinato took an impressive 5 victories and 7 podiums, to edge out his teammate who had a great season of his own with 2 wins and 4 podiums. Yinato will receive an awesome trophy to celebrate his title win. ![]() SMS staff will be in contact with the Team Shark manager in the next few weeks to arrange the transfer of the €5000 prize, which is to be shared amongst the team's drivers. We will also arrange delivery of the team champion and driver champion trophies soon. Special mentions must also go to SDL Motorsport, and particularly its drivers SoniK and Rotax for finishing third and fourth in the drivers standings, bringing the team through in second behind Team Shark. Our 2015 Driver Network Champions put together another strong season, and though they may not have won the NCS this year, they still have a small lead to protect in next month's final round of the Logitech G Championship Series. ![]() It's also time to announce the 2016 NVIDIA Challenger Series MVP. This award goes to the most impressive performance by an individual driver throughout the season, in either the PC or Console Division. For 2016, the NCS MVP award goes to PC driver, Cluck! His spectacular year saw him take the Revolution Sim Racing team to third place in the PC standings almost singlehandedly. His remarkable consistency and pace are well worth this recognition. Cluck, we will contact you soon to arrange the delivery of your 2016 MVP trophy. Big congratulations to PSFRacing as well, which took a one-two finish in the Round 6 Re-Run - it's first victory in the NCS in the final round of the season. Thank you to all of the teams and drivers who competed in the NCS this year. We look forward to many more battles ahead in the future! Due to an unusually large amount of track cutting at this circuit, the following drivers were eliminated from the results in the Console Round 6 Re-Run.
