This week the Actrollvision Community Racing league hailed from Hockenheim in Germany, a circuit with massive heritage and a technical layout which challenges every drivers' rhythm and technique. First up as always was the GT5 race.

GT5

The GT5 class is shaping up to be an incredibly open contest, and we were treated to an exceptional display by the "beginners" - a label which we'll have to use very loosely from now on. L_Sergio, Quasi-404 and Azmanms took the top three spots in qualifying. Everyone got through turn one very cleanly, and the usual suspects led the way in the same top three order from qualifying, but Gaston began to climb from fifth on the grid, and this veteran ACR driver was suddenly in the hunt for his first ever win. The audience and even Actrollvision himself were on the edge of their seats as he took the lead in style. It could have been a spectacular result, one of the most outstanding in ACR history, but with three laps to go, a mistake from Gaston dropped him back down to fifth, and his search for a win goes on. L_Sergio took first, Quasi-404 second and Azmanms third. Driver of the Day still had to be Gaston though. He took five months off sim-racing last year due to a heart attack, and his performance in this race almost gave a heart attack to the audience.

Read on for the results from the other classes.

Could Andersantell make it three wins in a row and continue his scintillating form, or could Borneo7 or BrickPsychosis get the KTMs onto the front row? Anders took pole yet again at the national layout of Hockenheim, with Brick second and Babajaga third. Borneo could only manage sixth on the grid. This race was a formality for Anders as he dominated proceedings and took the maximum points, putting the squeeze onto his competition in the process. Brick took second and Babajaga third. Andersantell was of course the Driver of the Day as well.

GTE

Now the main event, where we welcomed back season 2 champion, DriverR1. He was expected by the rest of the field to pick up where he left off and dominate on his return, but the league has improved while he was away, and it was no simple task for him. He did manage to take pole though, but only by 0.18 from the very impressive DjKrick. DriverR1's ACR teammate, Kamikaze was third. The race was a great opportunity for all of the drivers to put down a marker because championship leader, Robinjus was not available and will also miss the rest of the season. We wish the season 3 champion all the best. At the start DriverR1 got bogged down and had dropped back to eighth by turn two. Kamikaze got up to first and Thecrusherbro found himself in second after a great start by both Norwegian drivers. They were about to get even better news as DriverR1 got on the power too early in the Mercedes section touched the wall. Eighth was all he could muster from there. Kamikaze took the win, whilst an unbelievable drive from the American, Xwolf1369 saw him rise from seventh to second and also pick up Driver of the Day. The final podium place went to Blankfile.

This next race heads to the English countryside and the very technical circuit at Oulton Park. Live tomorrow at 6pm BST (UK time) on July 3. Watch live at twitch.tv/Actrollvision.
