After a short Christmas break, competitive action returned to Project CARS 2 with a bang this week, starting with the first ESL Cup of 2018. Autodromo Algarve hosted the races, and Luke "Actrollvision" Crane was on-hand as always to stream the action from the PC Cup. Catch-up with the race report below.
Autodromo Algarve boasts sweeping turns, undulating straights and some very technical twists too, so it proved to be a test for this weeks finalists. Jardier took pole just a hundredth of a second ahead of TX3 Storm, and TX3 Popsu rounded out the top three. Jardier got the start of dreams, and he must have been delighted with his day... until Popsu made a big error which also collected Jardier, damaged both cars and released TX3 storm into the lead. A newcomer on the ESL scene, Arkn, took second spot and for the first four laps he hung onto the coat tails of Storm, but the young French TX3 driver held strong and pushed on towards the finish. TmJaaaammes came through past Arkn for second in the end, and Jardier also clawed his way back into the podium places despite his damaged car, making him our Driver of the Day.
