This week in the Actrollvision "Triple Theat League" is was the final round of the season. All three classes (GT5, GT4 & GT3) took to Japan's fantastic Sportsland Sugo circuit. The GT5 season title was still up for grabs, and there was a six-way relegation battle on hand too. Read on to find out how the season wrapped up, and catch-up with videos of all the action.
The week began with the GT5 finale. Could Raccoon put his demons to bed and finally wrap up the title? Could Tezh73 produce one more outstanding performance and snatch it at the death? With only half a point separating Matyfunk (3rd) and Marshalljm (4th) who would get the final automatic promotion position into next season's GT4 league?

Tezh73 put his car on pole, with his championship rival, Raccoon back in 3rd. The pair were split by marshalljm, and MattFunk rounded out the top four. The lights went green and Tezh made a great start, and raccoon moved up into second, while marshalljm held 3rd. On the second lap 2 Marshall and MattFunk made their way to the top of the order, as Tezh73 collected the barrier on the final turn, which ended his race and Championship. So with Raccoon assured of the title, he settled for his position in the race. Marshalljm lead the race albeit with a one second penalty. MattFunk kept within that one second, until three laps to go, when Marshall pulled away and took victory and the final promotion spot. He will join Tezh73 and champion Raccoon21 in the GT4 league next season.
With the championship wrapped up, and relegation all but decided, there wasn't much to race for in the final GT4 round but pride. Could we have surprise winner? Could DBKung get second place and produce a miracle and get out of the relegation battle? Well after qualifying we had that surprise, BubbleBart qualified on Pole at SUGO and lead the race from start to finish to pick up an emphatic win. Dbkung started 6th and got up into second after turn 3. The viewers were in shock. Were we going to see a great escape? Unfortunately not, as the pressure told in the end and Dbkung dropped back down to eighth place. Bubblebart was the driver of the day.
It was a rollercoaster of a season finale in the GT3 league. If Curry_Wurst and TropperMitt were to not get relegated, they would need a Moses-level miracle. They needed to finish first and second, and hope Xwolf, Wizztek1 and o_rapidz_o had awful races. Curry_Wurst ripped up the form book and put his M6 on Pole, with the Lambo of TropperMitt responding to get second. Championship winner, DriverR1 could only muster 4th. The green light came, and Curry got a great start, holding first for four laps until TropperMitt made a move into turn eight down the hill, and held on to win the race. Curry took second, which completed a survival trip Rick Grimes would be proud of. Azaziel produced another top 5 to also escape relegation. TropperMitt was the Driver of the Day.

Make sure you join the racing action, and sign-up for the next ESL Go4 Cup.
