ESL Go4 Cup #30 results

ESL Project CARS Go4 Cup 30 was the last chance for our Esports drivers to stake their claim to a place in the April Finals. With this up for grabs, the drivers headed off to Project CARS’ virtual recreation of one of the UK’s fastest and most classic circuits, Brands Hatch GP.

With the Logitech G Championship & NVIDIA Challenger Series now underway, the drivers have a big challenge to balance their efforts between multiple Project CARS Esports tournaments. As always in racing, consistency is the key to getting good results.
In the Go4 Cup, the drivers were competing for a €150 prize fund - split into three €50 prizes, one for the winner on each platform. At the end of April, the top 12 drivers on each platform will be invited to race in the monthly Final for an additional prize fund of €450!
Brands Hatch throws up big challenges for the GT4 cars currently used in our ESL events. The steep elevation change and incredibly high entry speed in some of the corners calls for a perfectly balanced car. To be quick, your weight transfer has to be as close to perfect as possible, to get the car’s mass over the front wheels and maximise your grip through every apex. Read on to see who mastered Brands this week.

With signup numbers for the Cups increasing, the performances of DriverR1 are only getting more and more impressive. Once again, this lone driver has defeated the Esports teams around him to rack up another amazing win. SRT’s Chuckno33 came home in second, adding to his recent hall of podiums, while Unity’s Jojo came in third. Unity had a good first round in the Logitech G Championship Series recently, so it’s good to see some improved ESL pace from the team too.

The SDL Motorsport vs BAM Esport battle looks set to be a thrilling fight throughout 2016 and it continued once more in the Xbox Cups this week. This time it was BAM that came out on top with victory for SanKa. Two SDL drivers followed close behind with M power and Rossi46 both making it onto the podium. SDL isn’t a team used to coming second, so you can be sure that they will give it everything to beat BAM next time out.

It was a great week all-round for BAM as it took the win on PC as well as Xbox One. On PC, Tuscan took the spoils with another great drive. Like DriverR1 on PS4, Tuscan is quickly becoming the man to beat each week in the PC Cups. ph33rz from the Angels of Death Clan achieved another solid podium, while we had a new face in third. kelvemcquay grabbed his first ever podium, proving that new drivers can certainly mix things up with the big guns if they’re fast and confident enough to do the job.
The next ESL Project CARS open tournament is the Go4 Cup #31 on Sunday May 1 with a €150 prize fund!

Go4 events consist of 4 or 5 weekly cups and a monthly final each month. The Cup Series is free and open to everyone and has €50 waiting for the best player on each platform. The weekly cups take place every Sunday and start at 19:00 CEST. All players earn ranking points to qualify for the Monthly Final where the winners on each platform will receive a €150 bonus!

Don’t forget, you can now vote for the circuit you want to race at in the next Go4 Cup. Please visit the ESL Project CARS forums to make your choice!
