GENERAL MATCH RULES

6.1 No Show
If a contestant is not ready to play 10 mins after the scheduled match time, then they will be eliminated from the competition. Where possible, they will be replaced.

6.2 Forfeit
If a contestant chooses to forfeit a match, they will forfeit any prizes and where possible will be replaced.

6.3 Protests
Protests must be made as soon as the match concludes to any Tournament Organiser referees. If a protest is made too late, it may be ignored as the competition may have progressed past the moment of intervention.

MATCH RULES

7.1 Player Drops
If a player drops during a match, then it is up to the discretion of the Tournament Organisers whether the game may be re-hosted. As a general rule, the game is always re-hosted unless the dropped player would not have earned any points from their potential finishing position based on their performance in the match up to the point of disconnection.

7.2 Re-host
In a re-hosted game, each player must choose the same settings as they previously picked at the start of the original game.

7.3 Pausing the Game
If a player pauses a game they must state the reason for the interruption and how long it will approximately take to a Tournament Organiser referee. The game can only be resumed by the player that paused the game after they ask their opponent if they are ready. Violations of this rule are handled as unsportsmanlike behaviour and can lead to disqualification.

7.4 Technical Issues
In the event of technical issues affecting a player, the affected player must inform a Tournament Organiser referee immediately at the point of detection of the issue. Tournament Organisers will then investigate the issue with the aim to fix it within a reasonable timeframe. If the technical issue significantly affects the player's ability to compete in a fair way, it may be re-hosted at the discretion of the Tournament Organisers.

7.5 Manual Penalty
In the case of unsportsmanlike behaviour in-game (e.g. ramming, collision, deliberate griefing) a manual penalty may be implemented. In this scenario, a Tournament Organiser referee will instruct the participant to come to a complete stop, and may not accelerate again until otherwise instructed.

EVENT RULES

8.1 Breach of Etiquette
For an orderly and pleasant game it is essential that all players have a sporting and fair attitude. If Tournament Organiser staff believe a player to be in breach of this rule then they will receive a formal warning, or in extreme cases instant elimination.

8.2 Spamming
The excessive posting (or use of voice communication) of senseless, harassing or offensive messages is regarded as spamming. If Tournament Organiser staff believe a player to be in breach of this rule then they will receive a formal warning, or in extreme cases instant elimination.

8.3 Misconduct
The attempt to mislead or deceive participants, spectators, press or event staff using false information, will result in instant elimination.
